I replaced mine with 70-200/4 IS first and later with 70-200/2.8 IS II. Both have noticeably better IQ than the original 70-200 2.8L IS. The other options are the 100L, 135/2 and 200/2.8, which I also had. They are excellent, but the 70-200 II is so good that I sold them.
