My Android Auto app just got the 3.7.584044-release update. I'm positive that the HUD only displayed the speed before. Not sure if it is because of the app update, but that's the only thing that has changed since I installed Android Auto on my Mazda 3 a couple weeks ago. Edit: I don't use the OEM AA. I use the one installed via AIO 2.8.1.
2018 Mazda 3 Touring. My phone has been paired via Bluetooth since I bought the car and has worked great with no issues. I added Android Auto from the dealer about 3 years ago, and it has worked fine with my phone as well. Today I started my car and both my phone and the Mazda Infotainment screen tell me "unable to pair".
The bug causes Android Auto to freeze after 5 to 10 minutes of driving, and users report that once the problem occurs, the screen of the car becomes completely unresponsive. The app no longer
It has been discovered that a firmware update for the Mazda MZD Connect head unit has been released. Previous version number: 74.00.230ANew version release num: 74.00.310A. UPDATE - VERSION 74-311 IS NOW RELEASED! NO NEW CHANGELOG IS INCLUDED, PLEASE SHARE YOUR FEEDBACK ON THIS THREAD AFTER UPDATING.
AIO Android Auto does not work an any FW 70. If you have official Android Auto (AA) with hardware installed, the latest firmware which could be enabled via ID7v2 to install AiO Tweaks via USB is 70.00.352. Most stable FW for AIO AA is 59.00.502. But official AA is even more stable - this requires a FW starting with 70 or 74.
Nexus 6P running Android 7.1.1, head unit running .441 version. Bluetooth working well, but it freezes, and you have to press the menu to unfreeze it (which I know was mentioned in the OP), but when making a call it takes you to the Mazda phone call screen and doesn't keep you in Android Auto.
Solved: I had to clear the Android Auto app's cache and data. After doing so when I reconnected the phone to the car it went through the normal connection and initilization process and I now have a 2016 MX5 with fully functional (non-hacked) Android Auto.
If your vehicle has no Android Auto support, you can always buy a third-party stereo system that has Android Auto compatibility. Here’s a full list of Android Auto-compatible stereos
Using Google Maps on Mazda3. Advice Request. I am pretty much in love with the Mazda 3 sedan. The only issue I have with this vehicle is that the screen is not a touch screen. I primarily use the touch screen with Android Auto to look at Google maps while driving. Is it convenient to use the maps using the dial?
Android Auto DPI change with comparison screenshots (70.00.367 vs 74.00.310) In this thread about Mazda Connect firmware 74.00.310, there was mention that the DPI was changed from the older firmwares (actually, the change was in an earlier 74.00.xxx release, but this one didn't undo that change). I couldn't find any comparative photos, so I
The patch app function will allow android auto-compatible apps to be shown on Android Auto. Whether it is a sideloaded music app, and for some reason you don't want to enable unknown sources in developer settings, or whether it's an app that uses the custom SDK (such as: Screen2Auto, Fermata Auto, CarStream etc.) this app has got you covered.
Not sure why my infotainment isn't properly using the dimming (Auto day/night) feature depending on time of day. I use Android Auto mostly so I can't say whether the normal Mazda interface neglects to change too. I've had to manually select Day/Night on the menu to get my night mode maps and such to change.
Samsung Galaxy s21 Ultra requires a minimum cable of USB 3.1. I ordered an Anker 3 foot USB 3.1 cable and now my phone connects to Android Auto with no problems. Most older vehicles have the USB A connector which will limit the type of cable that can be used to a USB 3.1 cable with one end having a USB A connector and the other end having a USB
I bought the car in May and the problem with Android auto was from the beginning. Sometimes Spotify keps playing while the Android Auto screen froze No other issues though with the entertainment system itself. My girlfriend has a Samsung A40 and the problem was the same when I connected it with USB2.
